Every year A Day With HIV encourages the beautiful HIV-positive community to share a glimpse of their lives with the public. It’s a great way to showcase the extraordinary things that we do, as well as a chance to present the normalcy that is our lives. What you want to share is up to, just provide a picture, a time and 500 or less words here.

But hurry, the day is almost over!

Here’s what I sent in this year:

“Shawn here. It’s been thirty-two years since my HIV diagnosis. And here I am just having a normal day at the coffee shop with my love. I’m wearing one of my favorite shirts, The AIDS Memorial shirt, because I don’t forget those who we’ve lost. Part of enjoying this day with HIV, and as many more as I am fortunate to have moving forward, is recognizing how special it is to be alive. And how special the souls are that lean in and remind me of that from time to time.”

Positively Yours,

Shawn
