About.com, an online information and resource site, has selected its top 20 HIV/AIDS charities for 2013. Only organizations whose missions are solely dedicated to HIV/AIDS were considered. The criteria included: spending at least 75 percent of cash budget on programs, raising $100 from every $15 spent fundraising, not holding more than three years of available assets in reserve, and operating with financial transparency.
