The National AIDS Fund (NAF) and AIDS Action will merge in early 2011 into a new organization called AIDS United, according to an AIDS Action statement. Mark Ishaug, current president and CEO of AIDS Foundation of Chicago, will become president and CEO of AIDS United when it officially launches. Kandy Ferree, current president and CEO of NAF, will serve as a senior consultant. Rebecca Haag, current executive director of AIDS Action, will serve on the AIDS United public policy committee and continue as president and CEO of the AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts.
