From January 19 to 21, Postcards From the Edge returns for its 26th year to auction off original, postcard-sized artworks to support artists living with HIV to benefit Visual AIDS. This year’s auction features over 1,500 works of art, which you can view and purchase in person and online.
With each piece priced at $100, the auction offers a chance to snag original work from established artists at a steal. But, as always with Postcards From the Edge, there’s a fun catch: The pieces are displayed anonymously, and the artist’s name is revealed only upon purchase.
Since 1988, Visual AIDS has used art to raise AIDS awareness, support artists living with HIV and honor those who have died of AIDS. This year’s exhibition and benefit sale takes place at Berry Campbell Gallery in New York City on January 20 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and January 21 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

To make the auction process as smooth as possible potential bidders are encouraged to register online before the event.
While the online sale officially starts January 20, a new ticket option starting at $35 offers people a chance to preview artwork online a day early. For $100, the VIP preview invites guests to an early in-person preview party at Berry Campbell Gallery. VIP ticket holders can bid online through the First Dibs Auction to win one of the first 10 postcards ahead of the Saturday sale. Click here to register for the VIP preview.
Visual AIDS has supported nearly 1,000 artists living with HIV and awarded $670,000 in direct grants to artists with HIV since 1996. Annually, Visual AIDS produces more than 130 programs, screenings and public events. Postcards From the Edge offers artists an opportunity to share their work with new collectors while connecting with the mission of Visual AIDS.
