New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg does not support medical marijuana legalization, The New York Post reports. In reference to efforts by state lawmakers to allow prescription pot, he said during his weekly radio show: “Medical, my foot. There’s no medical. This is one of the great hoaxes of all time.” A spokesperson later said that the mayor was concerned recreational users would access the medical marijuana. During his election campaign in 2001, Bloomberg admitted that he smoked pot when he was younger. “You bet I did—and I enjoyed it,” he said.
