The world’s largest condom will make its debut this July at the XVIII International AIDS Conference in Vienna. The Condomfiere balloon stands erect (ha!) at 131 feet—or about 1,575 condoms tall.

When filled and airborne, the colossal prophylactic can carry more than 200,000 condoms or hold a ménage à trois of travelers.

The French nonprofit organization CondomFly built the balloon to raise HIV/AIDS awareness and to promote prevention. The condom will float around the world starting World AIDS Day 2010—December 1—making 500 city stops.

In this case, maybe size does matter.
